Job Summary:

• Observe and evaluate paraprofessional teacher or Reading Specialist candidates during their practicum placements.
• Conduct goal-setting, pre-observation, and post-observation conferences at least every other week during the semester (PARE) or three times during the semester (Reading Specialist).
• Provide timely, constructive written and verbal feedback.
• Collaborate regularly with cooperating teachers and school personnel.
• Submit observation reports, competency inventories, and final evaluations using FDU's data management system.
• Attend required orientations, training sessions, and supervisor meetings.
• Communicate consistently with the Director of Field Placement and respective graduate program directors regarding candidate progress and concerns.
• Support candidates in integrating university curriculum with school-based practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Education or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching or administrative experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in mentoring or supervising educators.
• Experience working in urban or underserved school settings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
