West Shore Community College seeks a motivated individual to fill the position of Systems and Applications Analyst. The Systems and Applications Analyst reports directly to the Director of Information Technology, and is responsible for serving as the technical expert for SharePoint/Office 365/Endpoint Manager, developing custom software solutions and MS workflows to facilitate data integration between systems, and promote efficiencies.
WSCC is located in a beautiful four-season recreational area near the shore of Lake Michigan and serves a multi-county district. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provide administrative IT support for SharePoint, Office 365, and Endpoint Manager, which includes monitoring logs, analyzing data, and reporting, and provide end user support for these services
- Provide coordinated support for the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of desktop images, applications, and virtual delivery methodologies
- Work collaboratively with other IT staff to develop, execute and maintain an endpoint management system
- Utilize MS PowerApps to create and implement workflow efficiencies
- Write, test, and publish code using an object-oriented language such as C# or Java, to facilitate data integration and updates between and within systems, including MS SQL server databases, Active Directory, and other services
- Assist with the configuration and maintenance of IIS servers, using SDN methodologies
- Write, test, and maintain PowerShell programing solutions to support SDN
- Monitor industry security alerts, and implement security controls in the performance of all duties
- Write and maintain IT documentation, including KnowledgeBase, SCM (software configuration management), and program documentation
- Work with other IT staff to address Help Desk tickets
- Coordinate with other IT staff, and provide support for the enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol, (VoIP) system, including troubleshooting and end-user support, as needed
- Provide cross-trained coverage for other areas within I.T. as deemed appropriate by skills and need
- Serve on campus teams and/or committees, and attend meetings as needed

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (computer science, information systems or a related field) with relevant experience in the field; OR a combination of gained knowledge (classes, certificates, etc.) and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree
- Programming experience in an object-oriented programming language such as C# or Java
- Ability to read and interpret documentation
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform tasks requiring independent judgment and initiative
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, and within a strong team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (computer science, information systems or a related field) with 2-3 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree (computer science, information systems or a related field) with 4-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in enterprise-level information technology systems/applications support
- Programming experience in a command-line shell and scripting language, preferably PowerShell
- Work related experience in a college or comparable academic setting
- Experience with a Helpdesk support system
