Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, some weekend work required
Job Summary: Under supervision, the park maintenance worker will perform a variety of activities associated with the maintenance of the Moundville Archaeological Park grounds; maintenance of buildings and facilities; and construction work to board walk, pavilions, etc.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to lift, handle, and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Ability to operate a variety of tools.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge in operating a variety of mowers/cutting equipment, including small landscape maintenance equipment such as weed eaters, edgers, and chainsaws.
