Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise Parking & Transportation staff to help ensure appropriate levels of service are being provided to the campus community. Supervise contracted staff supporting events.
Assist with training efforts of new and existing employees, including remedial or corrective driver training for employees who are involved in an accident or incident.
Support the University hotel operations by responding to customer questions related to parking and transportation and assist patrons with entering and exiting parking areas.
Support and supervise parking enforcement and issue citations to vehicles in violation.
Monitor Niner Transit via the mobile app UNCC Next Ride and maintain communication with the bus carrier regarding any deviation from standard service.
Maintain clear & concise campus transit signage around campus and report any signage that needs updating based on current service levels.
Review, address and log pre/post-trip vehicle inspection reports for all department vehicles. Investigate and act on any noted vehicle deficiencies on submitted inspection forms,
Assist department leadership with the preventative maintenance program to help ensure safe vehicle conditions and appropriate documentation to support PaTS' programs and services.
Receive and respond to customer inquiries and equipment maintenance requests in an effective and professional manner.
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Directors of Parking and Transportation Services or their designee.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four year college or university; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
2+ years of proven customer service experience with the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with internal and external customers.
Professional experience with campus transit and/or chartered ground transportation.
Commercial Driver License (class A or B) with P endorsement
