Overview:
Direct, administer and manage the day to day recruitment operation of the Office of Admission. Oversee the majority of the counseling staff and provide supervision and mentoring. Assist the Dean with the implementation of the strategic policies and procedures which contribute to the achievement of the established goals.
Essential Duties:
- In conjunction with other members of the senior staff, mentor and supervise Admission officers, provide professional development through regular meetings with each staff member, coordinate the training program for each new professional staff appointment, supervise the projects assigned to each individual, provide progress reports to the Dean, and conduct performance evaluations on each individual.
- Manage an application review territory and participate in all aspects of management for the recruitment and selection of candidates from that territory. Participate in on-campus recruitment programs, including individual visits, group information sessions and larger campus events. Conduct recruitment travel to areas within the established territory. Review approximately 700 applications, including school transcripts, personal essays, test scores, recommendations, etc., and serve as secondary reader for approximately 1,000 applications that have already been read by at least one other staff member. Serve as a senior member on the Committee on Admission and serve as chair in the absence of the Dean.
- Advise the Dean on all aspects of student recruitment and marketing strategy. Oversee the counseling staff in their roles supporting the overall plan, including work with the recruitment travel manager recruitment publications, on-campus recruitment programming, student volunteers, and multicultural and international recruitment.
- Oversee all on campus programming including Fall Open House and Yield programs.
- Serve as a liaison to various departments across campus to facilitate information sharing, participation in programming, and other important recruitment and yield engagement.

- Perform all other duties as may be required.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required, Master's preferred .
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive admission experience.
- Experience with staff supervision.
- Effective time management skills and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and public speaking experience required.
- Some understanding of the selective college admission cycle.
- Commitment to a diverse working environment and cultivating a diverse community.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
