HR Generalist (Staff Assistant), Human Resources & Payroll Office
Non-Unit Professional Position, Danvers Campus
Monday- Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
Serve as HR Generalist with responsibilities in support of recruitment, training, benefits administration, coordination of CORI review process and compensation studies. Provide support to the Chief People and Culture Officer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage entire lifecycle for assigned employee group to include recruiting, onboarding and evaluation process.
- Manage the College's CORI/SORI process.
- Manage and participates in salary surveys to collect and analyze information.
- Serve as a resource to employees on benefits questions and serve as back-up to HR Operations and Benefits Manager.
- Assist the HR Operations and Benefits Manager with new employee orientations and open enrollment.
- Serve as liaison with College EAP provider, recommending and coordinating visibility and training sessions.
- Provide assistance to the Chief People and Culture Officer on special projects.
- Represent the HR Department on college wide committees including governance committees and search committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information:

- Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of related experience in Human Resources, preferably in higher education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of HR systems and processes, including benefits administration and recruitment.
- System administration experience of HRCMS or other similar HRIS system required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access required.
- Strong database management skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail, problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Must be able to secure CORI, SORI and National Background clearance in order to serve as college CORI administrator.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations required.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
