The assistant director for Identity Access Management (IAM) is responsible for designing, developing, and managing the technical vision and implementation of IAM projects and programs for Salem State University. This position will be accountable for identifying efficiency-generating opportunities such as implementing a formal IAM architecture model or other IAM solutions to improve the efficiencies of the ongoing business as well as supporting day-to-day needs of the university related to IAM. The person in this position must have a broad and deep knowledge of technology and the ability to develop a solution by mapping a customer's business problem to an end-to-end technology solution.
Bachelor's degree with relevant business experience in a related field
Previous experience integrating security and IAM products with common identity stores (LDAP, relational databases, application servers, virtual directory servers, and physical access management systems)
Experience with Windows and Active Directory design and administration
Previous experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or Financial Services applications and tool sets
Previous experience designing security processes for custom built systems
Previous experience in higher education systems development
Working experience on different types of Single-Sign-On products and services
Knowledge of ADFS and Cloud based authentication including MFA (Multi Factor Authentication)
Expert knowledge of applications and programming functions
