The Manager for Records and Information Management, provides oversight and management for operations and responsibility for the delivery of records and information management business processes for the college. The position is responsible for working with academic and administrative leaders on the development, implementation, execution and assessment of initiatives aimed at document management, e-form solutions, and document imaging for student, administrative, and academic departments. The objective of the position is to improve the quality and efficiency business, policies, procedures, and processes that focus on people and ensure compliance with college, state, and federal requirements. The position will collaborate with supervisors and staff and provides guidance on issues including but not limited to, current and emerging technology for electronic records and e-forms. The Manager for Records and Information Management must be knowledgeable in the best practices of the use and delivery of electronic records systems within community colleges. . The Manager for Records and Information Management may develop and must be experienced in preparing and evaluating Request for Proposals (RFPs), vendor assessments, assessment of hardware and technology solutions needed to provide outstanding service to internal and external customers. The Manager for Records and Information Technology may directly supervise part-time employees and work-study students, and must be able to consult and lead within a highly matrixed organization.
• Education: Bachelors’ Degree (or its U.S. Equivalent) in Information Science or related field, • Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing a Document and Record Management System; • Experience implementing and administering an electronic Document & Records Management System; • Strong knowledge of designing workflows to automate business processes; • Experience maintaining security and administering permissions within the EDRMS; • Must have knowledge of legislations, statutes and national standards for records management and development of records retention policies and procedures; • Must have supervised implementation of imaging project for records; Experience conducting business process reengineering exercises • Ability to mentor, coach and foster a progressive and collaborative team environment. • Experience in Document Management Systems; • Familiarity with best practices; for document retention. • Demonstrated understand and practice the community college’s mission and practices an open-door policy; • Demonstrated ability to employ a balanced and positive approach to all work activities and work collaboratively across various constituencies of the College and with vendors and external constituencies; • Exhibits strong skills in leadership, communication, customer and student focus, building relationships, organizing, and planning; • Technologically proficient in common office desktop software and familiar with cloud based computing and collaborative platforms and software;
