Position Description:
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Information Technology Services is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) & Testing Lead with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join Ascend Program team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to implement an enterprise cloud-based financial system that will transform our approach to managing the enterprise.
The Quality Assurance & Testing Lead is responsible for leading the coordination, execution, and documentation of all testing cycles related to the implementation of Ascend Program including Configuration, Interface, and Application development and impacted business processes.
General responsibilities include: Develop the comprehensive testing strategy for the Ascend program for all products and integrations; develops detailed testing plan, including testing methods, automated testing, defect tracking, and remediation procedures, leveraging inputs from the Functional, Technical, and OCM teams; recommend testing tools/utilities; collaborates with appropriate technical specialists to deploy and configure testing tools/utilities; assist in developing the work plan; provide critical testing activities into an accurate work plan; manage comprehensive system testing including but not limited to unit testing, system testing, system integration testing, data conversion testing, regression testing, security testing, performance/load testing, compatibility testing, accessibility testing, and user acceptance testing; establish entrance and exit criteria for each phase of testing; collaborate with Functional Lead, Subject Matter Expert (SME), and Business Analyst involvement in testing functionality; implement and actively manage defect, enhancement, and issue tracking for testing; develop the testing status report procedures; responsible for accurate and timely reporting of testing status; facilitate the daily testing stand-up meetings; facilitate the test cycle (i.e., CRP, sprint) planning sessions; resolve (or escalates if needed) any open issues/impediments that the team faces during test execution.
