POSITION DETAILS
CUNY School of Law is seeking a Communications Electronic Media Manager to oversee the planning, organization and implementation of the Law School???s web properties??? policies, content strategy, maintenance and updates. This position reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing, supervises a web developer, and collaborates with content creators and designers in Communications.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Management of annual web maintenance and updates calendar, as well as emergent requests from our internal process to request web content support. This includes monthly maintenance and performance checks and reporting; website triage and work to improve our Accessibility ratings (using Monsido); updating images, copy, links and multimedia; applying appropriate formatting and layouts; and collaborating on creating and publishing new campaigns, landing pages, and more, often working with stakeholder groups across the Law School.
- Monitor Google analytics and and trends for optimization and produce regular reports.
- Implement and enforce SEO best practices for content across the site.
- Write, edit, optimize and publish content with the goal of enabling internal clients to advance their site???s content, user experience, and consistent look and feel.
- Oversee web content publishing contributed by additional stakeholders across the site to ensure published content aligns to brand styles and standards.
- Monitor and assess efficacy of third-party platforms that may enrich the user experience and meet the set goals and objectives of the Law School???s website.
- Help develop and implement web governance policies around the creation and maintenance of microsite and child sites, including affiliated Enterprise forms and donation platforms, domains, and Accessibility guidelines.
- Oversee compliance of pdf uploads, images, and other multimedia embeds with Accessibility standards in collaboration with stakeholders across the Law School.
- Work closely with IT to ensure servers, domains, and all other host properties are carefully maintained and managed
- Track and report billing and invoices associated with CUNY law web properties.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor???s degree in relevant area such as English literature, digital marketing, computer science, journalism or communications
- Four years of experience in developing web content for higher education, especially student recruitment, alumni relations or fundraising.
- Proven understanding of search optimization tactics, both content and technical, and the impact of each tactic; Adept at using tags, categories, SEO keywords, and other metadata used to maximize reach and relevance of content.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards for written and visual content and application of styles.
- Experience in using data analytics and user testing to guide decision making and revisions.
- Strong analytical mindset and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to write succinctly and compellingly about complex academic topics or sensitive issues while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficient in WordPress, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Cloud platforms; familiarity with Enterprise, Mailchimp, The Events Calendar a plus.
- Ability to work occasional nonstandard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

-Creates and maintains databases, archives, and other content associated with electronic media projects
-Develops production policies and standards and adheres to communications and branding standards
-Supervises staff as needed
-Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$88,602 - $105,676
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
