Campus Security supervisors are responsible for directing work of Campus Safety officers and supervising campus security and safety activities. Security Shift Supervisors assign posts, inform officers of policies and procedures, patrol buildings, review incident reports. The Supervisor also responds to various incidents including emergencies and directs Campus Safety officers at the scene as well as train new officers on new or updated policies. This position reports to the Director of Safety Administration.
CORE CAPABILITIES AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directing and Supervising Security Operations
Direct the work of security officers and supervise campus security and safety activities.
Assign posts and ensure adequate coverage of buildings and premises.
Patrol facilities to ensure compliance with security protocols and safety standards.
Review incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and follow-up actions.
Respond to emergencies and direct security officers at the scene to ensure effective resolution.
Train and mentor new security officers on duties, procedures, and expectations.

Policies, Procedures, and Emergency Response
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all site-specific policies and procedures.
Ensure security officers are informed of and adhere to established guidelines.
Implement and coordinate emergency response activities when necessary to protect life and property.

Customer Service and Facility Security
Provide superior customer service while maintaining a secure environment.
Ensure the safety and security of buildings, occupants, and premises through proactive monitoring and engagement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years relevant work experience and 60 college credits or 30 college credits and equivalent experience with security, law enforcement or military.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelorâ™s Degree.
Supervisory experience preferred.
WORK MODE
This position is primarily in-person and is based on campus to support effective in-person collaboration and engagement.

Hybrid work arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the role and operational needs. Any such arrangement must be discussed and approved in advance by the appropriate division lead or their designee. #LI-ONSITE
SALARY RANGE
$66,300 per annum
