The Department of Nursing at Texas Lutheran University invites applications for a tenure-track professorship in nursing. We seek faculty members with outstanding qualifications who share the University’s core values of high standards of excellence in innovative and collaborative research and demonstrate a commitment to health equity in education. The successful candidate will teach both core and research courses, integrate interdisciplinary approaches, promote empirical research in leadership and Nursing. This position is for a 9-month appointment with 12 credit load hours per semester anticipated to begin in Fall 2026 for the Seguin campus location.

The Department of Nursing has approval from the Texas Board of Nursing to offer a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a direct entry Master of Science degree and is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001. We have an excellent pre-licensure NCLEX-RN pass rate and employment rate for our BSN and MSN graduates. The curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for a nursing career and requires all students to be involved in faculty-mentored undergraduate research.
