Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a qualified and dedicated EMS Coordinator to provide administrative leadership and ensure quality oversight of all Emergency Medical Services (EMS) educational programs. This position requires a minimum instructional commitment of eight hours per week, teaching EMT, AEMT, and/or Paramedic courses. The EMS Coordinator will also serve as the Scope of Practice Administrator for these program levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing instructional content and curriculum.
- Conducting class visits to support and evaluate instructional effectiveness.
- Managing course logistics, including course builds, grading, and official course closures.
- Actively contributing to the planning and delivery of EMS continuing education programs.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a commitment to instructional excellence, and the ability to maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Associates degree or higher in EMS or related public safety or allied health field
- North Carolina Paramedic
- Level I or higher EMS instructor credential
- At least two years of experience as an EMS provider and educator.

- Bachelors degree or higher in EMS, education, or related public safety or allied health field.
- Credentialed as NC Paramedic and Level II NC EMS Instructor with at least three years experience as an EMS provider and educator.
- Experience with instructional design, course development, and distance learning.
