The Executive Assistant fills a unique role in the CFO Office. This individual leads the day-to-day coordination for the Procurement office, Jayhawks Elevate office, Controller's office, and Business & Financial Planning office. This person also provides direct support to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), Continuous Improvement Officer, Controller, and the Chief of Staff to the CFO. The Executive Assistant has oversight of calendar and scheduling for these key executives and assists some of their top-level direct reports with additional support needs.
The Executive Assistant provides ongoing coordination of practices with other offices within the Executive Suite of Strong Hall, including the Chancellor's Office, General Counsel, Provost Office, Office of Audit, Risk & Compliance and our Affiliates, including but not limited to Athletics, Endowment, Jayhawk Community Partners and Kansas Memorial Union. The Executive Assistant will also serve the CPO, Continuous Improvement Officer, Controller, and Chief of Staff as a liaison with executive staff serving other senior leaders on campus.
This person demonstrates problem-solving abilities on a regular basis and uses high levels of discretion in many aspects of their position, including prioritizing the requests made to the executives they serve, meeting requests, scheduling appointments, and communications.
This individual provides back up support for other staff members on the CFO team and works to build connection and community among those working within the Office of the CFO.
