SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will:

• Maintain telephone and e-mail contact with potential and enrolled students.
• Work with various technology tools to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
• Assist with proofing captions for videos.
• Create reports using data provided in the LMS or other technology applications.
• Oversee the DLearn email account.
• Assist the LMS Specialist as needed.
• Assist Instructional Designers as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Other related duties as assigned.

OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.

INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:

Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide face-to-face, phone, email, and online support for faculty, staff, and students in an on-campus office environment.
• Adhere reliably to a set work schedule while being flexible enough to work additional hours as needed and/or during peak times (September and January). Work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
• Able to think creatively to understand and diagnose complex student and faculty needs and translate these needs into appropriate technological solutions.
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to establish priorities, manage multiple demands and projects, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Willingness to complete repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
• Provide basic office coverage in the absence of full-time employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.

Experience Required:

• One year of experience working directly with students, faculty, and staff in an academic environment required.
• Three or more years working in an academic setting and any experience working in an instructional, administrative or support capacity with a learning management system is preferred.
