Postdoctoral Fellow, Laboratory of Dr. Christian Metallo
The Metallo lab aims to understand how metabolism contributes to progression of cancer and other age-related diseases. We study how alterations in carbohydrate, amino acid, and lipid metabolism across distinct organs influence cellular processes and lead to cancer, immune cell dysfunction, and neurological disorders. We apply isotope tracing and mass spectrometry-based metabolomics to cell culture, organoid, and animal models of cancer, diabetes, and neuropathy, covering a range of biochemical pathways. A funded postdoctoral position is available for scientists and engineers interested in exploring metabolism in disease models. An emphasis is placed on cross-training within the lab, so trainees can gain expertise on technologies for manip
