Research Associate-Fixed Term
Position Summary The research associate (postdoctoral researcher) will work on the NIH/NIDCD-funded project, “Cognitive and Biological Mechanisms in Pediatric Voice Therapy”. This project investigates the influence of developmental cognitive and physical factors on children’s ability to acquire a therapeutic voicing pattern in “resonant voice” therapy; and on the tissue’s biological response to behavioral therapy (lesion size). The candidate will contribute to the development of image-processing methods and software that will be used for obtaining kinematic measures of the vibration of the vocal folds from high-speed videoendoscopy.
