Position Summary:
The Head Coach provides coaching expertise and leadership for the Men's Basketball team. The Head Coach uses varying styles, approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of today's student athletes. The Head Coach will hold themselves and the team accountable to the standards and guidance of the NJCAA Code of Conduct, the Frederick Community College (FCC) Code of Student Conduct, and department and team rules as outlined in the Student-Athlete Handbook and the FCC Handbook for Coaches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
- Managing meal money, requesting transportation, and scheduling scrimmages and non-league contests.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Athletics & Communications to complete, maintain, and report team and individual statistics as required by the Maryland Junior College (MDJUCO) Conference Operating Code.
- Track and update athletic support staff regarding student-athlete transfer records, enrollment statuses, and transitions to other institutions
Salary: $12,000 (pro-rated based on start date)
