Lead Vehicle Mechanic
The primary responsibility of this position is to inspect vehicles and equipment to diagnose issues and repair. This position will serve as a “technical lead” within the work unit, providing guidance and coaching to others in the same unit.This position requires a thorough understanding of the most difficult and complex systems. This position will conduct routine and major maintenance to extend the life of university vehicles and equipment, performing vehicle tune-ups; tire rotations, repairs, and changes; oil changes; wheel balancing; preventive maintenance; and hand tools maintenance within the university’s fleet.
