Laboratory Technologist
Position Summary Process and test animal specimens for diagnostic purposes using molecular-based assays; organize and analyze data, enter and retrieve information from the Laboratory Information Management System; perform quality control procedures and maintain quality control records; store and dispose of specimens; operate and maintain scientific equipment; communicate with lab staff, veterinarians and clients to provide information and lab results; work with other lab personnel in an environment of problem-solving and process improvement. The position has responsibility for the safety and health of others and, therefore, involves strict attention to detail and protocol. Working hours are between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and may include occasional University holidays on a rota
