Job DescriptionThis position exists to serve as the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for Southwest Minnesota State University by providing subject matter expertise and advanced strategic HR leadership to administrators, faculty and staff within the designated division on a wide range of human resources functions including but not limited to; employee/labor relations, employee retention, classification/range assignment, compensation, benefits, retirement, orientation and onboarding, and talent and organizational management. The HRBP ensures compliance with collective bargaining agreements, Minnesota State (MinnState) policies, and state and federal laws.This position is considered confidential as defined by M.S. 13.37 as it accesses and utilizes information pertaining to labor relations, serves as a resource to management for labor relations information, provides assistance and information for use in the development of a strike plan, and researches and compiles classification and compensation information to respond to equity proposals for salary ranges for classes under review in collective bargaining negotiations.
