The Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Admission is responsible for representing Bellarmine University to multiple constituencies, including prospective students, their families, high school guidance staff and community contacts. This role will help in the expansion and diversification of Bellarmine University's student population and geographical reach. The Assistant Dean independently develops and implements recruiting initiatives to meet application and enrollment goals. Will conduct a holistic review of first-year and transfer student applications for their assigned territory, and others as assigned. This position must be effective at independently planning recruitment strategies including high school and community college visits, area receptions, alumni engagement, individual meetings and building community partnerships.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Admission will work with the Associate Dean and other senior leadership to determine territory and market areas of focus for the recruitment of qualified high school, transfer and minority students for admission and matriculation. The position will work to achieve targeted recruitment goals and build relationships with key stakeholders in the assigned territory. In addition, the Assistant Dean will:

• Travel extensively to maintain assigned territory
• Establish relationships with key schools in select markets (through high school visits, counselor breakfast meetings, college fairs, receptions, alumni networking, and other events)
• Manage admission applications of students in assigned territory. This includes assisting students through admission process, reading, reviewing, interviewing, gaining reference from counselors and making admission recommendations.
• Maintain contacts with prospective students and events in Slate, respond to inquiries for admission information by phone, email, text and in person.
• Implement strategies to increase Bellarmine University's relationships with community organizations, churches and other educational outlets in assigned territory.
• Maintain accurate reports and records pertaining to high school visits, telephone contacts, admission files, alumnae contacts and year-end recruitment analysis.
• Provide prospective students and their families with basic scholarship and financial aid information.
• Will be required to participate in weekly team meetings, frequent supervisor check-ins, participate in on-campus admission committee meetings as required; on-campus admission programs, admitted student events and other visit days as required by Associate Dean.
• Track expenses and coordinate activities to stay within recruitment budget. Ability to evaluate ROI of strategies in assigned territory to determine effectiveness of initiatives.
• Oversee and coordinate Undergraduate Admission events throughout the calendar year. From planning, implementation and coordinating day of tasks.
• Serve as liaison for on-campus partners as a representative of the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
• Manage additional tasks as assigned by Associate Dean and other senior leadership.

• Bachelor's degree (master's preferred)
• At least three years of professional work experience in enrollment or recruitment of students
• Demonstrated knowledge of admission recruiting strategies and territory management
• Understanding of financial aid modeling and award processing
• Strong proficiencies in CRM system
• Awareness of enrollment marketing and communication strategies
• Ability to analyze and process data for strategic planning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in student recruitment, education advocacy or college counseling
• Experience working in an institution of higher education
• Knowledge and understanding of Slate (or a Customer Relationship Management system)
• Familiarity with Financial Aid leveraging strategies
• Demonstrated ability to present information to small and large groups
