Associate degree in Welding Technology or related field and one year of industry related work experience in the field or one of the below demonstrated competencies; OR;
Associate degree, three years of industry related work experience in the field and two of the below demonstrated competencies; 
OR;
High School Diploma, seven years of industry related work experience in the field and three of the below demonstrated competencies

Demonstrated competencies must be in welding or closely related field:

• College Diploma
• College coursework from a regionally accredited institution (9 credit hours)
• Certification
• License
• Organization/Associate Affiliation (Documentation must be provided)
• One year of teaching experience at the college-level (In addition to the required years of work experience)
• Other supporting documents (Certificates, continuing education credits, awards, publications presentations etc.)

• Teaching experience in welding at a community college or university setting
• Verification of current or past certifications (ASME, AWS, or API standards)
• AWS, CWI/CWE certified
