Maryland electrical license (journeyperson), plus an associate degree in Electrical Systems Technology required. Or Maryland electrical license (journeyperson), plus completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program required.  Or hold a master electrician's license plus a High school diploma/GED required.  Five (5) years' experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical fields required.  Teaching/training experience in commercial/industrial maintenance preferred. Current credentials related to any of the following areas preferred: commercial/industrial maintenance, contracting, safety, construction, environmental, and controls. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Power Point.  

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.  Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.  

1. Seek continuous improvement in teaching (classroom and on-line) methodology and student-centered learning.
2. Maintain relevant licensure and remain current in Electrical Systems Technology discipline.
3. Maintain scheduled availability to students.
4. Develop an individual professional development plan.
5. Participate with other faculty in developing, managing courses, and curricula in Continuing Education.
6. Provide leadership to assigned Continuing Education division, including supervision of assigned staff and/or adjunct instructors, and assist in student recruitment and selection.
7. Maintain laboratories, supplies and/or equipment.
8. Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, practices, and Electrical Systems Technology.
9. Attend regular meetings, as appropriate.
