Required Qualifications:

Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Current California Nurses Assistant Certification

Current BLS provider;

AB508 Training within ninety (90) days;

Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English;

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent or above;
• One year acute care experience as a nursing assistant.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Physical Requirements: Position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday; Sitting is approximately 25%; Must be able to transfer and lift patients as necessary. Weight will vary from patient to patient; Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities; Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; Must be free from signs of illness and infections.
