The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Research Aide to join our team. The Research Aide will join the laboratory working in the broadly defined area of the actin cytoskeleton. The Research Aide will be working under the direct supervision of senior laboratory personnel to assist in experiments by using standard research protocols, purifying proteins, preparing buffers and stock solutions, autoclaving media, maintaining laboratory routine protocols, assisting in cloning genetic constructs, and purifying recombinant proteins. Specific experiments may include mutagenesis, protein labeling, fluorescence-based assays, and others.
