Job Description: Responsible for all cleaning and general maintenance services throughout the campus. Provide a safe, clean environment for employees and students. Assist in safety, security, maintenance and operations of St. Cloud Technical and Community College.Salary Range: $20.21-$25.05 per hourMinimum Qualifications: KNOWLEDGE OF:Different types of flooring/floor coverings (hard floors, carpet, and terrazzo) sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods, materials, agents, and equipmentChemical cleaning agents such as disinfectants, glass cleaners, degreasers, and general cleaners sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s), handle and apply, and dispose of safelyMethods, tools, and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively and operate safely and to make minor repairsABILITY TO:Work while standing for long periods of timePerform assigned tasks with limited supervisionFollow simple oral and written instructions and keep simple recordsWork inside and outside in adverse weatherPHYSICAL HEALTH AND ENDURANCE SUFFICIENT TO PERFORM WORK FUNCTIONS.Ability to perform work functions using ladders and lifts, etc.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and 50-100 lbs. on occasion (with assistance available)Capable of frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pullingPreferred Qualification: Good human relations skillsGood communications skills to interact daily with students and employees of SCTCCAbility to prioritize work and be flexible during frequent interruptionsGood work habits and self-motivationAbility to work with limited supervisionPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION, with or without accommodations:Ability to perform work that requires the following lifting/carrying strengths:Lifting/carrying 50 lb. maximum, 25 lb.
