Lab Aide
Major job functions for this position include the following.⢠Assist scientists in research experiments using fundamental genomics, genetics, and molecular biology techniques including DNA isolation and purification, PCR techniques, colony picking, etc.⢠Assist UMGC Innovation Lab scientists in lab work, such as the preparation of reagents and solutions using standardized protocols.⢠Accurately perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on samples using instrumentation including QuBit fluorometer, Agilent bioanalyzer, agarose gel electrophoresis, etc.⢠Accurately and comprehensively document experimental results and data using the UMGCâ™s laboratory information management system.⢠Other tasks as assigned by supervisor. ⢠Percent time of appointment:
