Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):

• Reference/Instruction:
  • Develop and deliver instructional sessions on research-related topics, such as literature searching and evidence-based medicine to residents, fellows and clinicians. Create and maintain research guides and asynchronous learning modules. Work collaboratively across the health sciences library to provide general reference/research support.

• Research Consultation:
  • Provide in-depth research consultations to residents, fellows and clinicians as needed for course-related and independent research activities. Participate in the development of search strategies for systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and meta-analyses. Handle research and data inquiries from Stony Brook Medicine's research facilities, affiliates, and partners.

• Outreach:
  • Establish relationships with the various Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Directors to ensure they are aware of the research services available through the Health Sciences Library. Engage in outreach to Stony Brook Medicine's outpatient and inpatient care facilities in order to provide research and evidence-based medicine support to clinicians. Support new initiatives and special projects across the organization. Participate in library, campus, and professional committees.

• Other Duties as assigned.
