Job Summary:
The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) at Oberlin College invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Program Coordinator focused on STEM and quantitative disciplines. The anticipated start date is August 11, 2025. The initial contract runs through July 10, 2026 with possibility for renewal. This position reports to the Director of Inclusive Excellence in Undergraduate Research and STEM Education and is renewable annually.
Responsibilities:
The STEM Program Coordinator will work with team members in Oberlin Undergraduate Research and the Center for Learning Education and Research to coordinate and support a variety of programs and events, acting as team lead or support as designated.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related discipline or with significant STEM coursework.
- Previous research experience in STEM discipline required.
- Excellent communication, organization, and event coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Suite (Sheets, Forms, etc.), and Canva.
- Evening and weekend availability required.
- Valid driver's license required; must be able and willing to transport students in college vehicles.
- Responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail are essential.
- Commitment to inclusive, community-centered programming.
Compensation:
Within the range established for this position, salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes an excellent benefits package.
