Job Description Summary
This position will assist in the management of multiple clinical trials and responsibilities in the Division of Urology. The Clinical Research Assistant B will be responsible for the data entry, organizing, maintaining and assuring the accuracy of all study documentation for the site-specific protocols. Coordinate the screening of patients, subject enrollment, collection and storage of biological samples and related study documents, and collection of clinical data. Assist with Institutional Review Board (IRB) filings and inquiries, and assist in the preparation of manuscripts, grant proposals, and research related presentations. Works closely with the Principal Investigator, manager, and study team to identify problems and develop solutions. Implement approved changes to procedures as needed and monitor results. Responsible for study coordination for investigator-initiated studies, multi-center research studies, and patient-oriented clinical and translational research projects.

Job Responsibilities

Schedule subjects for appointments, procedures, or inpatient stays as required by study protocols

Perform specific protocol procedures such as interviewing subjects, taking vital signs, and performing electrocardiograms.

Assess eligibility of potential subjects through methods such as screening interviews, reviews of medical records, or discussions with physicians and nurses

Prepare study-related documentation, such as protocol worksheets, procedural manuals, adverse event reports, institutional review board documents, or progress reports. See more occupations related to this task.

Inform patients or caregivers about study aspects and outcomes to be expected.

Qualifications

High School Grad/GE Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

This position is contingent on grant funding.
