This position is located in Clark County.

The candidate will be working with the Master Gardener Volunteers (MGV) focusing on day to day management effort. The candidate will also work in the community, developing relationships with potential community gardeners.

The candidate will organize meetings with community collaborators and volunteers. They will schedule, set up and attend events and meetings with collaborators, volunteers and the public. They will be responsible for coordinating the Community Garden coalition, scheduling meetings, events, and activities as needed. They will periodically work alongside the volunteers in Snyder Park Gardens & Arboretum as well as in community gardens, assisting with gardening efforts (mulching, weeding, planting, digging, seeding, and more).

The candidate will be responsible for managing the Hands on Connect volunteer hour tracking systems and the Clark County Local Foods website, including training volunteers on using these systems. The candidate will learn Salesforce, the Extension tool for communications and tracking volunteer activities. The candidate will be responsible for social media efforts for MGVs and community gardens and will coordinate advertising and marketing for the horticulture program.

Seeking a people-person who is organized and a self-starter; someone who is willing to develop relationships among community gardens, collaborators, and volunteers.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this profile is $16.49-$21.69/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, units available budget, and the candidates qualifications.
