Position OverviewTheatre Introductory Acting instructors will lead one or more sections of THEATRE 2811, The Craft of Acting, an introductory acting class exploring the basic techniques of imagination, concentration, character development, and script analysis through work on monologues, scenes, and plays. Additional assignments in undergraduate theatre and acting coursework (such as movement/voice, introduction to theatre) may be assigned based on enrollment needs and lecturer experience and performance.THEATRE 2811, The Craft of Acting is a General Education course that teaches basic acting techniques in service of creation of character, the art of storytelling, and expanding the capacity to communicate physically and vocally.
