Job DescriptionThe Associate Director of Education Abroad and Away is responsible for implementing the education abroad marketing and recruitment plan to meet business development goals for Castle Campus at Alnwick. if his position will recruit and support students through the entire education abroad cycle. The Associate Director manages application processes and outreach efforts, serves as a risk manager, and collaborates with multiple campus units. This position will develop, manage, and maintain Center for International Studies technological interfaces including the marketing plan for education abroad, department websites, departmental marketing material development, overall social media strategy, and Terra Dorta website. The Associate Director is the lead staff member on marketing and recruitment for the Castle Campus at Alnwick to external entities.Education Abroad and Away Program ManagementAdvise students in selecting programs that will meet their academic goals, interests, and special needs specifically related to Castle Campus at Alnwick programExecute policies, procedures, and opportunities for education abroad and away programsAssist in management and training of student workers, interns, and graduate assistants to promote education abroad and away opportunitiesManage a portfolio of semester-long education abroad and away programs including Castle Campus at Alnwick as it relates to SCSU, Minn State and students across the United StatesActively promote and market study abroad opportunitiesLiaise and collaborate with campus offices and study abroad and away partner organizationsKeep up-to-date on current knowledge and trends in the field of education abroad and awayManage short-term education abroad and away program details and work closely with faculty directors on setting up programsManage the National Student Exchange program with major focus of recruitment of students for Castle Campus at AlnwickCastle Campus at AlnwickServe as the primary program manager for all Castle Campusat Alnwick internal programsCoordinate and develop promotional and informationmaterials to promote Castle Campus at Alnwick including printed materials, emails, text, telephone outreach and marketing campaigns while maintaining University brand guidelinesImplement and assist in the development of the CastleCampus at Alnwick strategic plan to meet institutional goals of Castle Campus at AlnwickLiaise with the Alnwick Academic Director on marketingstrategy and program developmentMarketing, Promotions, and CommunicationsWork with University Communications to create, edit, and produce printed or online Center for International Studies marketing materialsDesign and manage the Education Abroad and Away Terra Dotta website and application softwareCoordinate promotional and information materials to promote Education Abroad and Away including printed materials, emails, text, telephone outreach and marketing campaigns while maintaining University brand guidelinesCoordinate and manage Center for International Studies website contentDevelop and implement Center for International Studies social media strategySupport Center for International Studies event planning and preparationOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsMaster's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, College Counseling and Student Development, Higher Education Administration or related field and one year of professional higher education experience OR bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, College Counseling and Student Development, Higher Education Administration or related field and two years of professional higher education experienceExtensive knowledge of and ability to utilize Terra Dotta (TD) or similar softwareDemonstrated effectiveness in publication development, marketing, web design, and communication strategies;Ability to serve as Designated School Official (DSO)Excellent oral and written communication skills, cross-cultural sensitivity and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and studentsPreferred QualificationSignificant, progressive experience in education abroad program advising and administrationForeign language skillsDemonstrated effectiveness in web page maintenance, editing software (Adobe suite or similar), and social media marketingExperience withSEVISand prior position asDSO/AROOther RequirementsWorking conditions are primarily in an office setting.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
