Position Purpose:
Advise prospective study-abroad students, train student advisers, and develop materials for both. Assist in the organization of the annual cycle of study-abroad and study-away programs activities. Monitor dynamic database of study-abroad applicants and participants, correspond with them at appropriate junctures, and organize data into reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience with coursework or experience in advising, marketing, communications, or writing preferred.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience studying or living abroad.
- Familiarity with data management systems used in international education including AbroadOffice and Terradotta.
- Familiarity with digital photography and video software and with social media.
- Familiarity with Oakland University offices and procedures.
- Understanding of purposes and scope of international education.
