GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide instruction to students in one 8-week section of (CIT241Q-02) IT: Ethical Hacking during the Fall, 2025 semester (October 29th - December 17th) every Monday and Wednesday from 9:30 - 12:15. The College syllabus for this course is on the CCCC Website under "A-Z Index - Syllabi, Course." 

This hands-on course focuses on the latest security threats and advanced attack vectors while demonstrating hacking techniques, methodologies, tools, tricks and security measures. Topics include Intrusion Detection, Policy Creation, Social Engineering, DDOS Attacks, Buffer Overflow and Virus Creation. This course helps prepare students to take the CEH certification. Students are required to sign an agreement stating all knowledge learned in this course will not be used for illegal or malicious purposes. 

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

1. Provide instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes.
2. Select and develop appropriate materials for class use.
3. Assessment of student performance, including submission of final grades in a timely fashion.
4. Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.
5. Available to students when mutually convenient.
6. Provide a large amount of hands-on labs and examples, during classes while covering the technical material.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of IT experience OR a master's degree in appropriate discipline.
2. Strong oral and written communication skills.
3. Excellent organizational skills.
4. Training or teaching experience.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. CEH Certification..
2. College teaching experience.
3. Experience working with GED and ESOL students in alternate learning environments within high schools.
4. Experience and commitment to working in a global multicultural academic setting.

COMPENSATION:      Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale. Part-time, non-benefited. MCCC Unit position
