Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Incumbent is responsible for analysis, evaluation, implementation and technical development and support of network projects and operations. Leads all aspects of projects from initial outline and development to completion and assessment. Translates complex information to a novice level and is able to understand the needs of the organization and translate those into solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge in wireless networking technologies
• Strong knowledge in Data Center Technologies and Network Security (Cisco VPNs, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancing, Cisco 9000 series, and Cisco Nexus Platform
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Must carry a phone and provide on-call support for IT related issues
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends to meet operational needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to translate complex information to a novice level
• Ability to translate business questions and requirements into solutions
• Ability to manage multiple medium to large projects simultaneously
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and to analyze and interpret complex data in order to draw valid conclusions and make sound recommendations
• 1+ years experience managing data networks with Cisco routers and switches
• 1+ years experience configuring Cisco network equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in ITIL 3.0/4.0
• Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Cisco Certification of CCNA or higher
• Certification in ITIL 3.0/4.0 Service Management Operational Environment
