| Summary of Position: | • Ferris State University Racquet and Fitness Center is looking to fill front desk staff positions. • This position offers up to 28 hours per week, but the shifts may include early openings, late closing, weekends, or during university breaks. | |

| Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | • Aid with walk-in and telephone calls from students, faculty, members, and visitors at the Racquet and Fitness Center. • Check in customers, process payments, and handle class registrations and cancellations. • Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members. • Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. • Check the customer's account balance and update membership status. • Provide correct information and take accurate messages. • Process locker and equipment rental requests. • Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. | |
| Marginal Duties/Responsibilities: | • Keep the working and entry area clean. | |
| Skills and Abilities: | • Basic computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office Word. • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. • Basic typing skills and can type fast during rush hours. | |
