The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Providing care for medically acute pediatric patients on our 14-bed inpatient Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Unit.
- Working collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary team devoted to delivering family centered care to children requiring a stem cell transplant for various disorders which include but are not limited to oncology, hematology, genetic and immunological disorders and complications following stem cell transplant with varying levels of acuity and complexity.
- Working closely with the inpatient Hematology/Oncology and Clinical Research unit.
- Required to work a minimum of 4 shifts within a 6-week schedule
- These shifts must include at least one off-shift per schedule, depending on the needs of the unit. Off-shift is defined as a Friday night shift, Saturday day or night shift, Sunday day or night shift.
- A minimum of one hospital acknowledged winter or summer holiday per year
- A BSN
- At Least two years of inpatient acute RN experience required, pediatric experience preferred.
- Oncology/transplant experience required.
