1. Ensure that all assigned science laboratories are adequately arranged, supplied, and equipped for timely, safe, and effective teaching and learning;

2. Ensure that consumable and non-consumable instructional supplies and equipment required for laboratory procedures are procured and available for timely instruction;

3. Coordinate the proper maintenance of laboratory equipment in assigned labs;

4. Ensure laboratory equipment and materials are properly autoclaved, when required;

5. Maintain inventories, invoices, and records as required;

6. Coordinate assembly of kits for at-home labs;

7. Aid in the production of chemical solutions and bacteriological media;

8. Maintain training and other professional development opportunities on- or off-campus and stay current with developments in the field;

9. Aid in cleaning and general maintenance of lab facilities;

10. Assume other necessary responsibilities and perform additional tasks as assigned by the science lab manager, chair, department dean, chief instructional officer, or president, in meeting the needs of the department, division, and college;

• Minimum of Associate's in Science degree or higher in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related subject. 

Work Experience:

Two years of successful laboratory experience at a college or in industry preferred. Experience in preparing bacteriological media, chemical solutions, and performing inventories required.
