Part-Time Specialist II, Wellness Center, 41811

Position Summary:

Under general/limited supervision, the position is responsible for multiple, significant functions in the campus Wellness Center.  Ensures all LSC policies, practices and surrounding functions are carried out correctly.

Job Functions:

1. Supervises the weight room
2. Maintains and cleans equipment
3. Welcomes guests to the Wellness Center
4. Teaches guests how to use the equipment and provides basic fitness information
5. Ensures rules and regulations are enforced
6. Provides basic first aid if necessary
7. Reports and resolves complaints
8. Must be able to re-rack weight plates
9. Responsible for cleaning equipment and surrounding floor space, cardiovascular machine, free weights and pin selector
10. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

Salary:

Hourly Pay Rate is $13.52

Required:

• Capable of lifting up to 45 pounds
• Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members
• Good communication skills
• Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and exercise
• Customer service orientated
• Proficient in the use of computers and related software for word processing, spread sheets, and database management; Specific software experience in Windows and Microsoft Office
