Part-Time Clerk, TRIO - Student Support Services

Campus Location: Danvers

Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9am-2pm or 10am-3pm

Non-benefited, Grant-funded through August 31, 2025

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Provides office support for the TRIO/Student Support Services program. Provides day-to-day support of the Lynn office, including: student/staff scheduling, student records and data entry, front-line problem solving and referrals for students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Enters student data in Banner and other databases to track program progress toward federal objectives.
2. Assists advisors with scheduling student/staff appointments for Lynn campus.
3. Coordinates logistics for TRIO workshops on Lynn campus, including scheduling rooms and promotion.
4. Assists with logistics for TRIO/SSS orientations for Lynn campuses including invitations, meal planning, room reservations, media requirements, supplies and attendee responses.
5. Creates, maintains and oversees student files and records.
6. Creates and monitors student sign-up sheets for tutors and TRIO activities.
7. Places reminder calls to students regarding appointments and TRIO activities.
8. Assists students with signing in and using TRIO computers, troubleshooting problems and helping them with Navigate and/or Blackboard.
9. Monitors office inventory and equipment functionality in Lynn office.
10. Provides front desk coverage; greets guests, answers calls.
11. Assists with chaperoning TRIO sponsored cultural events and activities, some of which occur in the late afternoon or evening.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Director, TRIO/Student Support Services

Job Requirements:

• Associates Degree, or equivalent experience, required.
• Demonstrated skills with Word, Access and Excel documents.
• Excellent keyboarding and word processing skills; and proficiency with Microsoft Office, and e-mail required.
• Knowledge of Banner and database experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with staff, faculty, students and the public.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel between Lynn and Danvers campuses.
• Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.

SALARY: $18.90/hour, non-benefited, grant-funded
