The Department of Animal, Veterinary and Food Sciences is seeking to hire an assistant professor for a tenure track Research Faculty - Extension Specialist position at the University of Idaho. Consumer food safety is an essential component of food safety education of consumers and has been a long-standing commitment of University of Idaho Extension and food science education. There is tremendous demand from consumers statewide for this position. This role will serve 10% teaching and advising, 25% scholarship and creative activity, 60% outreach and extension, and 5% university service and leadership. This position provides food safety training to consumers statewide, and will participate in statewide outreach, and will also conduct publishable research on food safety.
