The Carter lab at the NYU Center for Neural Science is looking for a full-time Junior Laboratory Associate to participate in research projects to study higher-order thalamus and frontal cortex. Responsibilities include animal husbandry, stereotaxic surgeries, fluorescence microscopy, and behavioral experiments using in vivo photometry, electrophysiology, and 2-photon microscopy.

In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,656- $60,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Bachelor?s degree in neuroscience or related discipline, previous research experience, good organizational skills, and ability to make a two-year commitment.
