Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.Job DescriptionProvide classroom instruction, evaluate and advise students.Develop and/or revise curriculum.Participate in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and college-wide events.Maintain professional and technical knowledge in the field through active participation in professional development organizations and events.Promote and recruit for program within and outside of the College.Promote diversity and cultural competency.Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean or Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs.Minimum QualificationsBachelor degree in education with 12 semester credits in early childhood educationFour full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience with children ages birth to eight years old.One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Preferred QualificationExperience teaching in an urban college setting.Academic assessment experience.Ability to work with faculty and staff as a team member.Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities.Other RequirementsAll resumes must clearly address the Required Qualifications as stated above.
