The Legal Practice Program Associate's primary duty is to provide professional support to the Legal Practice Program, Writing Center, and Legal Practice Faculty. Support services include assisting faculty with the entire range of their Georgetown teaching responsibilities, committee assignments, and scholarly work as well as supporting the Legal Practice Chair and Writing Center Director with the day-to-day administration of the Legal Practice Program, Law Fellow Program, Senior Writing Fellows, and the Writing Center.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide logistical support to assigned faculty including but not limited to: travel arrangements, reimbursements, scheduling and calendar support for Georgetown meetings and conferences.
  
• Coordinate with A/V, IST, Mail & Copy, external vendors, and Event Services for meeting and event support.
  
• Provide logistical support for the planning and execution of Legal Practice meetings and events, including the scheduling of conference space for Law Fellows.
  
• Provide administrative and logistical support for the Writing Center online appointment software and the creation of Writing Center schedules, including inputting staff information, availability, scheduling adjustments, and assisting students with appointment scheduling as needed.
  

Work Interactions
This position is expected to collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the Law Center community (faculty, students, and staff), vendors, visitors, and the public in order to provide comprehensive, high-level support to the Legal Practice program and its faculty. The person in this position is a member of the Office of Faculty Support and receives direct oversight from the Director of Faculty Support. Given that this position's first priority is to serve the Legal Practice Program and its wide-ranging programmatic needs, the position also works very closely with and takes direction from the Legal Practice Chair and Writing Center Director.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School Diploma; A bachelor's degree and previous experience in higher education administration - particularly in a Legal Writing or Law School environment preferred
  
• 5 or more years of relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  
• Prior experience in administrative support and/or customer service roles
  
• Experience with the practical application of routine office practices and techniques
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience working with a wide range of individuals
  
• Past experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe
  
• Must possess the ability to gain proficiency with other office and campus technologies (including GMS/Workday and Canvas)
  
• Experience with Georgetown campus technologies (including GMS/Workday and Canvas) preferred

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$21.16 - $35.29

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
