Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and implement security architectures.
• Develop and maintain security tools and technologies.
• Analyze security logs and incident data.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members.
• Automate security tasks.
• Stay up to date on emerging threats and security technologies.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies.

Minimum Experience / Education:

• Bachelor's degree plus
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience or the
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

• Experience in a higher education environment.
• Strong communication skills, including experience delivering professional presentations to directors and other high-level staff..
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks in rapid succession.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Cisco security tools.
• One or more information security certifications such as GCIH, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, and CISM are preferable but not required.
