Visiting Part-Time Faculty Position in Italian Studies

The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting part-time faculty position in Italian, beginning in August 2025. The position includes teaching four courses-two in the Fall semester and two in the Spring semester. We seek a generalist to teach elementary and intermediate Italian language courses.


Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching and inclusive pedagogies as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.

Please submit a letter of application; a current curriculum vitae; a statement on teaching philosophy and interests; graduate transcripts; and two confidential letters of recommendation. Additionally, candidates should provide a teaching video of a language class at the elementary or intermediate level. Ph.D in Italian at time of appointment is preferred, but candidates who are ABD or have an M.A. will also be considered.
