The Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a Senior Clinical Analyst to lead critical analytics initiatives that will enhance clinical operations and research efforts within the Lymphoma group. This role is pivotal in defining and tracking patient volumes to optimize practice and plan clinical trials effectively. The Senior Clinical Analyst will collaborate with operational and physician investigator stakeholders to provide comprehensive reporting, forecasting, and advanced analysis, concentrating on clinical trial portfolio management, patient cohort identification, targeted community outreach, and other topics related to research. By aggregating and analyzing quantitative data on patients, diagnoses, treatments, and referral patterns, the Senior Clinical Analyst will deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and improve patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Institute's mission by aligning clinical trial portfolios with patient populations, maximizing clinical trial enrollment, and supporting biobanking and research operations. Additionally, this position will play a key role in helping Lymphoma group investigators query relevant data assets in support of research efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools, and will thrive in a collaborative, data-driven environment.

The Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) team is a division within the DFCI Informatics and Analytics department led by the Chief Health Information Officer. Given access to an extraordinary range of healthcare data (including clinical, genomic, pharmacy, referral, EMR, treatment, scheduling, billing, and labs), the ED&A team is relied upon to drive the transformation of data into valuable and actionable insights. The team supports areas such as quality, operations and most importantly, patient care.

The Senior Clinical Analyst will work with a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Tableau, etc.) to dive into the data, build interactive tools, and own the sources of truth necessary to meet the needs of the Institute.

This role is hybrid with the expectation of being on site 2-3 days per week.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor?s degree in a STEM field required.

Minimum Experience:

3 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year in healthcare.  Tableau and Clarity Data model experience preferred.

• Fluency in SQL syntax and comfort manipulating data using SQL queries required.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous learning and a strong interest in understanding lymphoma, its research landscape, and treatment methodologies.
• A strong desire to explore, investigate, and uncover patterns in data while maintaining focus on pragmatic solutions.
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills and a history of effectively working and communicating with technical and non-technical staff.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Technical Skills:

• Fluency in SQL syntax and comfort manipulating data using SQL queries required.
• Expert in business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar required.
  • Advanced proficiency to perform dashboard design, development, and production, and to develop process documentation to enable users to self-serve reporting, analytics, and visualization.
  • Can quickly and effectively diagnose and respond to support requests regarding data integrity, functionality, or other issues in existing and developing dashboards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
• Comfortable learning new software tools.

• Comfort working closely with physician investigator stakeholders.
• Must be able to remain open-minded about data exploration, vet work independently, and ensure accuracy of all analytic products before delivering end-results.
