Dispatcher
The primary purpose of the Security Dispatcher is to protect life and property. This is accomplished through monitoring, coordinating, and controlling information received from sources such as duress, access, and intrusion alarms on campus. The Security Dispatcher commands our central communication center. The Dispatcher is responsible for all telephone and radio communications. Information is evaluated and communicated to the appropriate Public Safety personnel as well as police, fire, and medical services. Finally, in the absence of a supervisor, the dispatcher assumes the duties and responsibilities of a Security Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: 1.
